A 25-year-old man was arrested Saturday after a domestic violence incident led to the suspect barricading himself in a Mesa home, police said.
Police were called just before 10 p.m. Jan. 16 to a home near East University Drive and North 25th Street. A woman said she had been assaulted by her son, who also allegedly stole the victim’s vehicle before leaving the home, according to a Mesa Police Department release.
The vehicle was located just after 7:30 a.m. Jan. 17 near Stapley Drive and East Main Street, and officers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled, police said.
