That occurred after the victim told police a white sedan, allegedly with Lopez inside, cut him off while exiting U.S. 60 at Stapley, according to the release.
A video of the car was obtained through Mesa’s Real Time Crime Center cameras, and the car was found re-entering U.S. 60 at Gilbert Road. Lopez was driving the car with three passengers. During the investigation, officers recovered a handgun with a green laser inside the vehicle. Further checks revealed Lopez is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing firearms, according to the release.
