Mesa man sentenced to 35 years in prison for murdering his wife

The Maricopa County Attorney announced that 31-year-old Vaughn Alexander Wilson has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for the murder of his wife in 2021, according to a press release.

The incident occurred on July 13, 2021, when  the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from an East Mesa man saying he had shot his wife. Upon arriving at the scene, MCSO found Wilson's wife lying dead in the hallway with three gunshot wounds, according to the press release.
