Arizona filmmaker Holt Hamilton’s newest film, “Break the Mold - The Zach Bates Story,” will open on the big screen at Regal Cinema’s Gilbert 14 on Aug. 31.

The documentary tells the story of Zach Bates — an autistic runner from Arizona — as he chases his dream to compete in a 100-mile ultra-race before his 20th birthday, according to a release.

The goal of the film is to share Bates’ passion, drive and determination and to inspire people to dream big and put in the work to chase those dreams, despite the challenges before them. The film also features many Arizona community members and businesses, the release states.

Tickets can be purchased at Regal Gilbert’s website or in person at the theater. Tickets can also be donated to families impacted by autism. Go to Hamilton’s website at holthamilton.com/zachbates.html for information on how to purchase and donate tickets.

Hamilton and Bates will be on hand for an autograph session at the 7:05 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, screening, which will be followed by a Q&A session.
