East Valley city to spend $457K for surveillance cameras for city parks

The Mesa City Council voted to approve the use of a cooperative contract for surveillance cameras to use at city parks at their recent council meeting.

The vote passed 7-0 Aug. 18. The council approved the use of a Omnia Partners cooperative contract with Carashoft Technology group to deploy a surveillance camera system at designated city parks.

The system used will be Gridless Power, which was picked out of two options that the Mesa Police Department tested, according to council documents.
