The Dallas Wings cooled off the Mercury after Phoenix’s three-game winning streak, sweeping the two-game series in Phoenix. The Wings blew out the Mercury 77-59 at Phoenix Suns Arena Friday night to knock the Mercury’s record down to 5-5.
The Mercury went cold from 3, making just 3 of 20 from deep, and gave the Wings (5-5) too many second chances from offensive rebounds.
“It’s on us. I mean that’s embarrassing. We’ve got to come out and fight… didn’t look like a team that wanted to win a game tonight,” said Mercury coach Sandy Brondello.
