Mercado Courtyards is back for a third run at approval from the Scottsdale City Council after two prior failed attempts.
Now called Mercado Village and boasting several major changes, the project was green lighted by the Scottsdale Planning Commission on June 14 to “run the gauntlet” of seeking approval from city council for a zoning change that would allow it to move forward.
“I believe there are substantial changes in use and zoning that I would be in favor of allowing the applicant to run the gauntlet again,” commissioner William Scarbrough said.
