Mentors Matter – Mentor a child and change two lives

Posted

All it takes to change a child’s life in foster care is a little bit of your time each month. And with AASK, you’ll be prepared to build a long-lasting relationship with a child or teen in need.

AASK mentors not only undergo extensive training to understand what foster care is like for a child, but they also have access to and regular check-ins with a program coordinator to answer questions and celebrate successes.

As a mentor, you and your mentee can spend your time together as you like. This includes but is not limited to working on homework, hiking, catching a movie, arts and crafts, or cooking together.

The need for mentors is high, so join AASK for a virtual, commitment-free information session and see if now is the right time to make a difference in a child’s life!

For more information on children in foster care eligible for adoption, call Aid to Adoption of Special Kids at 602.930.4900 or visit www.aask-az.org.

Editor's note: Ms. Gaieck is a copywriter at AASK - Aid to Adoption of Special Kids. She will be submitting articles regularly to the Daily Independent at YourValley.net in hopes to find children forever families.
