Menke Funeral and Cremation Center, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., was accepted for membership in the Order of the Golden Rule, a trade association representing hundreds of independently owned and operated funeral homes around the world.
All funeral homes accepted to the Golden Rule adhere to a strict code of ethics and standards to ensure members provide dignified, caring service at fair prices, according to a press release.
“It is the mission of Golden Rule funeral homes to serve all families in their community as they honor and remember their loved ones, regardless of nationality or creed,” Wendy King, OGR executive director and chief executive officer, stated in the press release. “It;s the mission of OGR to empower and enable our members to do so with the highest professional and ethical standards.”
Menke staff was appreciative of the membership acceptance, according to Kelly Browder, Menke general manager.
“We take great pride in the caring service we provide to our bereaved families,” she stated in the press release. “Membership in OGR will provide us with even more resources to better serve our families’ needs.”
Founded in 1928, OGR is affiliated with hundreds of independent funeral homes that share common goals of exemplary service, uncompromising care and compassion to families in their time of need.
