The state transportation deparment has announced there will be no construction work to disrupt holiday travel on Arizona highways over the Memorial Day weekend.
The pause in work will begin Friday afternoon and continue through Monday night, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
ADOT advises motorists to be aware of unscheduled closures for crashes, disabled vehicles and wildfires.
Also, officials suggest travelers pack an emergency kit should delays occur. The kits should include water, blankets, snacks, a flashlight and fully-charged cell phone.
