The eighth annual Rob Dollar Memorial Ride is set for Sunday, Oct. 26 in Phoenix. The ride honors Dollar, who was tragically killed by a motorist in 2017.
Rob’s father John, a Chandler resident, started the ride and the foundation to bring to light the issue of bike safety and road awareness.
Arizona is notoriously known for being the worst state for cyclists, with the number of fatalities being about 30 a year, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Rob grew up in the Chandler area, moving to California, but returning to Arizona just a few months before he was killed.
The 2025 Rob Dollar Memorial Ride is from 7 a.m. to noon on Oct. 26, at South Mountain Park, 10919 S. Central Ave., Phoenix.
The base cost to register for the ride is $19 per person.
