By now in any other year, the Arizona Renaissance Festival would be going strong and drawing thousands of medieval fantasy buffs and eager Scadians to Gold Canyon for weekends of anachronistic frolic, with everything from jousters to jongleurs, mummers to Morris Dancers.
But alack and fie! As well ye may know, this year the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis drew the curtains on the popular annual event.
“Arizona Renaissance Festival will not be open this season,” the event hosts state at their website: arizona.renfestinfo.com. “Organizers have made the difficult decision to not open the annual Festival in February/March of 2021 due to the increasing health and safety concerns related to COVID-19. Thank you for your understanding and support of our event.”
