MCSO, Sun City Posse urge no trespassing signs

COA has signs for sale

As a continuing effort to cut crime in Sun City, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and the Sun City Posse urge residents and businesses to display no trespassing signs.

These two agencies, along with the Sun City Home Owners Association and the Condo Owners Association of Sun City, encourage the practice because it gives law enforcement another tool to vacate unwanted people. Signs should be posted at condo and homeowners association, businesses and churches, and all other places where there are common areas, according to Mike Redman, MCSO community outreach officer. Such signage is not required at single family homes since there are no common areas the no trespassing rule is implied, according to Dave Miller, Sun City Posse community liaison officer.

The COA has been selling “No Trespassing” signs to the condo associations in Sun City for the past year. according to Jerry Walczak, COA board vice president.
