MCSO reports 7 inmates overdose at Estrella jail

Maricopa County Sheriffs Office reported seven female inmates from Estrella Jail in Phoenix were taken to the hospital after they appeared to have overdosed on an unknown substance on April 7.

According to reports, the incident happened about 10:30 a.m. after facility staff reported the females’ condition and called for paramedics.

First responders were able to arrive where they treated all seven women who were experiencing overdoses.
