The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the driver of a Dodge Challenger that struck a pedestrian just before 11:40 p.m. Dec. 31.

The car was traveling west on McDowell Road when it collided with the pedestrian between 83rd Avenue and 86th Drive in Phoenix and fled the scene, according to a release from MCSO.

The car is a 2015-2023 model, black and should have damage to the front end, primarily the right side, possibly the front bumper, grill, undercarriage, hood and windshield, officials said.

Anyone with information should contact MCSO 602-876-TIPS or 602-876-1011 and refer to report IR24-000006.
