Mayoral Q&A: Paradise Valley candidates talk about water issues

In the second edition of Paradise Valley’s mayoral candidate Q&A series, Jerry Bien-Willner and Julie Pace answer questions about water, drought management and the recent fight to prevent EPCOR water rates from dramatically increasing.

Bien-Willner and Pace are running for the position of mayor in the upcoming Aug. 2 primary election. Bien-Willner, the incumbent, is hoping to be elected to a third term while Pace is in her second term as a Town Council member. If Pace is elected to mayor, she would resign her seat on council next January.

As the Aug. 2 primary election nears, the Independent is conducting a weekly Q&A series with both mayoral candidates to give readers insight into their platforms and priorities.
