Mayo Clinic plans 228-acre biotech corridor in north Phoenix

Partnership with ASU, Phoenix on tap

Mayo Clinic plans to create a biotechnology corridor on hundreds of acres of land around the north Phoenix hospital.

The project will include an investment of at least $250 million from Mayo and is projected to bring 2,000 jobs to the region.

Wednesday, the city of Phoenix advanced plans to enter into an agreement with Mayo to reimburse up to $41 million of the cost to lay the infrastructure for the massive project. Phoenix may also pay up to $15 million for a bridge near the campus.
