Maybelle Greene Crouch Slumpff

"A life that touches others goes on forever." - Anonymous Maybelle Greene Crouch Slumpff, at the age of 99, passed away on Sunday January 7, 2024, at 4:15 pm in Sun City West, Arizona. She was born on September 7, 1924, in Spring Hope, North Carolina to Joseph Edmund Greene and Tassie Gertrude [Coppedge] Greene. Maybelle is proceeded in death by her daughter Betty Jean [Crouch] Ogawa and Carl F. Slumpff. She's survived by her daughter Suzanne [Crouch] Schmick, grandchildren Andrew Ogawa and Marcus Ogawa, great grandchildren Valentina Ogawa, Athena Ogawa, and Leonidas Ogawa. During World War Il Maybelle worked as a part time nurse's aide, and as a military wife she traveled around the world, living in many different places. In her later years she took up residency at an assisted living home, the Legacy in Sun City West, Arizona. At 99 years of age she enjoyed good health, created new lasting friendships, and partook in many fulfilling activities.
