Max A. Smith, passed away December 20, 2017 at 8:00 P.M. from complications of a staphylococcal infection, surrounded by loved ones.Max loved kids and farming. He enjoyed all of his long service on the South Dakota Butte Electric Board. He was also very proud of his part in bringing rural water to the farmers and ranchers in the South Dakota Butte-Meade Water District.His father, mother and a son passed away before him. Max is survived by his wife, son and wife, two daughters and their husbands, a brother and sister, two grandchildren and many cousins.He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
