Maude Frances Baker Meyers

Born 5/9/1927 – Passed away peacefully on 3/9/2022 at the age of 94 in Surprise, AZ. Maude Frances Baker was born on May 9, 1927 to Francis and Adell Baker in Beloit, Wisconsin. She grew up in Chicago, IL. After high school she worked for Marshall Fields, Inc. She married Bert Meyers in June, 1954. In 1957 they moved to Park Forest, IL and raised their four children, Bert, Bill, Nancy and Cathy. Her family was her priority. She later worked for the YMCA where she taught swimming and fitness classes. In 1989, she and Bert moved to Sun City West, AZ. Her life was filled with swimming, tennis, bike riding, quilting, yoga and good friends. She volunteered at a local elementary school and at Sun City West Meals on Wheels. Maude was preceded in death by her husband, Bert, and is survived by her four children, seven grandchildren and four great grandkids. Maude will be remembered by her kind disposition, loving spirit and grateful heart. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 13724 W.
