Marya A. Landt, passed away peacefully on Jan. 1, 2017 at Banner Hospice Grandview. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Paul. Marya was a World War II Veteran, and she met and married her husband Paul while they were both serving in the U.S. Army. She was a Licensed Beautician, and spent many years volunteering at Del Webb Boswell Hospital in Sun City. She lifted patients spirits by fixing their hair. Marya also managed a blood pressure monitoring program for seniors at Del Webb Hospital in Sun City West. She received an award from the Sun Health Auxiliary as Volunteer of the Month in 1998. Marya was also recognized for having more than 10,000 volunteer hours. Some of Marya's interests were her vegetable garden, sewing her own clothing, and her volunteer work. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 19002 N. 128th Ave., Sun City West. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity in Marya's honor. Arrangements made by Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel.
