APACHE JUNCTION - Mary M. Rizzo, age 80, passed away Monday July 19, 2016. She was born on September 23, 1935 in Shawano, Wis. The youngest of 17 born to Elmer & Lela (Meverden) Owen. She married her loving husband Victor Rizzo. She was formerly a member of Sacred Heart Church. Mary retired from Maple Lane Health Care Center in 2001. She moved to Apache Junction, in 2009 and lived with her son and his wife, David & Diane Rizzo. She loved playing Bingo across the street at The Moose Lodge and had made many friends there. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Lester, Delbert, Roger, Harland, Aloysius, Russell, Wilfred, Creed, Milton Owen; her sisters, Evelyn Heinrich, Veronica Lewis, Susan Bero, Catherine Dalum, and Harriet Dillon. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law; her sisters, Mildred Antos and Neomi (Ethel) Yokes; her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Jennifer Schutt and Robert Stickney; her great-grandchildren, Makayla, Austin and Blake Stickney; many, many nieces and nephews. The Lord took her quietly after battling a year with many health problems. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services are pending at Sacred Heart Church in Shawano, Wis.
