SUN CITY WEST - Mary C. Kendrick, a life long resident of Sun City West, passed away peacefully on Dec. 17, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Santo and Jenny Tilotta, Mary followed her life long ambition of teaching elementary age children. She moved to Pomona, Calif. in 1958 and taught 3rd grade for 24 years, she earned a BA from Brooklyn College and a Masters at University of Redlands, Calif. Mary and Len Kendrick were married in July 1969 and was married for 35 years when Len passed away. Mary was a volunteer at Banner Del Webb Hospital, the Banner Thrift Shop, delivered Meals on Wheels, OLL Women's Guild, SCU Womens Club, shuffle board club and Canine's companion club. Even after retiring, Mary continued to teach English to her caretakers at Mercy Adult Home. Her hobbies were travel, reading, board games, cross word puzzles, arts & crafts, and pets. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
