Mary Alice Russell Neely, was called home by her Lord on September 5, 2018 at the age of 92 at her home in Sun City West, AZ.Mary was born in Wheeling, WV on August 20, 1926. She was a graduate of Triadelphia High School and received her nursing degree from Wheeling Hospital School of Nursing, the same hospital of her birth.Mary was a registered nurse and worked as the head nurse at Barnsville Hospital in Ohio then moved up to the Administrator of Nursing. After moving to Florida, she became head nurse on the Medical Surgical floor. Then, after moving to Georgia, Mary was the Nurse Instructor at Moultrie Vocational Technical school, training the next generation of nurses.Mary was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Moultrie, GA. She lead the Presbyterian Women's Circle, served as president of the Moultrie Magnolia Garden Club and president of the Federated Guild. After moving to Arizona, she was a member of Desert Palm Presbyterian Church of Sun City West, AZ."A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, 'Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song, the good life I lived while I was strong. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remember all, how truly I was blessed. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin, until the day comes and we're together again." ~ Author UnknownShe joins her beloved husband, William Glenn (Bill) Neely Jr. in heaven and is survived by her loving children, Michael Patrick Gibas (Tricia) and Mary Kathryn Neely Sampey (Craig); her step-children: William G. Neely III (Kay), Jane Jenkins (Jim), Laura Hunt (Brian) and John Neely (Paula); 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grandview Scholarship Fund. Camino Del Sol Funeral Chapel and Cremation Center of Sun City West, AZ is in charge of arrangements.
