Mary Afdem Berndt

Mary Afdem Berndt, of Sun City, AZ, age 93, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 2, 2018. Mary was born Mary Dorcas Russell in Calico Rock, AR, and had two brothers and three sisters.Mary was preceded in death by two husbands, LeRoy Afdem and Wally Brendt.Mary and LeRoy lived in the Washington D.C. area and Mary worked at the Internal Revenue Service and had a career as a Tax Law Specialist.In 1983, after retiring, Mary and LeRoy moved to Sun City. After LeRoy died, she met another love of her life, Wally Brendt. During Mary's whole life, she loved her family and always helped them any way she could. A 10:00 A.M. memorial will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 in the chapel of the 1st Presbyterian Church at 12225 N. 103rd Avenue, Sun City, AZ.
