Marsha, part of Fountain Hills since 1970, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, died on Sunday, May 17, 2026. She was 81. Marsha and her husband, Jeff, were pioneers of Fountain Hills, settling there before there was a gas station or grocery store. Raising her family in the desert, Marsha filled their home with warmth, adventure, humor, and unforgettable stories — including many great pets, a rescued crossbill crow, and a bull snake that grew to eight feet long. Marsha was the heart of her home and family. She raised two children — Jeff Jr, 55, married to Bonnie Dawson, and Jennifer, 53, married to Dan Printz — in a happy and loving home, guiding them to become independent and thoughtful adults. Married for 59 years to her soulmate, Jeff, Marsha was his devoted partner in family, business, and adventure. Together, Jeff and Marsha built a remarkable life, pursuing many ventures including land, home construction, Jenny Mini Storage, oil, and gas. Marsha also worked at Mayo Clinic for 20 years at Shea campus and later Fountain Hills. Jeff and Marsha loved traveling the backroads of the West, visiting friends, family, and the many places connected to their work and lives — with Marsha handling the map and packing a lovely cooler of food. Marsha frequently fished bass with Jeff and the family, catching the state record catfish one year. Her family, including grandchildren Daniel, 21, and Caleb, 18, have many fond memories of lake trips with Marsha all over Arizona, especially Roosevelt Lake, Texas and Costa Rica. Known for her big smile, gentle wisdom, laughter, homemade meals, and encouragement, Marsha will be dearly missed.
