And where were the real solutions?

Regarding the Oct. 9 opinion article “Issues call for real solutions.” I just can’t keep silent any longer. After reading several articles over the last several weeks, I simply must respond!

I get it; Trump isn’t the most presidential president. Do I like his braggadocio? No. Do I like his name calling? No. Do I like his policies? You bet!

I could list Trump’s accomplishments here but there’s simply not enough room to do so.

You criticize those who watch only one network, but judging by your post I can accuse you of the same.

But answer me this: Did you like or agree with Biden rescinding Trump’s policy on the border and border wall? How about leaving Americans and American allies in Afghanistan, not to mention the billions of dollars worth of military material that’s now being used against our allies? As a veteran, I will never forgive him for that.

Do you like $5 plus for gasoline when we were once energy independent and gas was about two bucks?

Do you like being forced to buy an electric car and then being asked please don’t charge your car because it puts too much of a strain on the electrical grid?

Do you like somebody taking away your gas stove?

Do you agree with sending money to the Ukraine so they can protect their borders but not protect our own?

Do you agree with abortion on demand up to a minute before giving birth?

Do you agree with boys being in girls’ locker rooms?

Do you agree with story time with drag queens for your child?

Do you agree with the high interest rates or the trillion dollars of debt?
Sure, the Republicans have blame for that as well, but nobody seems to want to fix it except for a few Republicans and a vast majority of American citizens.

If you look at the cumulative increase in inflation since Biden took office it’s 18.1%! More than 60% of the population is living paycheck-to-paycheck. Many are supplementing their income with credit cards with an average interest rate of 24%. So how much of a COLA do you think you’ll get in Social Security this year, probably only a little over 3%.

No, I don’t love Trump, but I don’t have to listen to his self-aggrandizement or name calling either, but I did love living under his policies and anybody who continues to support the policies of this current administration are simply intellectually dishonest.

Face the facts, this isn’t the same Democrat Party your parents belonged to!
