Marijuana test eludes law enforcement — for now

By all accounts, medical and recreational marijuana sales are really, really high since Arizona dispensaries started selling to anyone 21 or older back in January.

But the proliferation of legal weed poses challenges both to public safety and to law enforcement as technology has yet to catch up with the legalization trend, according to Marc Lamber, a personal injury attorney with the Phoenix-based Fennemore Craig law firm.

Lamber said marijuana use has nearly overtaken alcohol as a contributing factor in motor vehicle injury cases he has seen.
