Marija Strasser, 73 Marija Strasser, 73, of Sun City West, passed away peacefully on Sept. 1. Beloved mother and grandmother, she is survived by son Josef (Shawna), daughters Gloria (Chado) and Rosemary (Miguel) and three grandchildren: Vanessa, Alexander and Nathan. Marija is preceded in death by her husband Joseph. A "celebration of life" memorial mass will be held for Marija 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Sun City West. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 14066 W. Waddell Road, Surprise, AZ 85379 or Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 14818 W. Deer Valley Road, Sun City West, AZ. 85375. Marija was much beloved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. All we have learned that is worthy and true, Dear Mother, was taught us by you. Whatever goodness in us there may be, we trace to its source, it was given by thee. "We love you Mom."
