Marie Rempel

Marie Rempel, 95, of Sun City, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus September 17, 2017 at CC's Adult Care Inc., Surprise, AZ in the care of Hospice of the West. She was born July 22, 1922 in a farmhouse near Meade, KS to John P. and Agnes Neufeld Ediger.She was a member of the Evangelical Mennonite Church in Meade County, KS and a founding member of the Bell Road Baptist Church, now Horizons Community Church, Peoria, AZ.Marie married John C. Rempel on October20, 1940. He passed away November 19, 1985. Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth Wiens of Meade, KS; sister-in-law, Helen Ediger of Meade, KS; children, Madlyn (Harlan) Schmucker of Sun City, AZ, Bonnie (Dale) Barnes of Andover, MN, Darriel (Verda) Rempel of Sun City West, AZ, Lonnie (Dana) Rempel of Sun City, AZ; nine grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and desired that all her children would accept him as their personal savior.Burial has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Sunland Mortuary Lakeside Chapel, 11AM, September 28.
