Marie McIntire, passed away peacefully at her home in Sun City, AZ, on January 16, 2018 at the age of 67.She is survived by her son Andrew McIntire (Boynn), daughter Melissa McIntire McClary (Don), three sisters; Judith Grace, Carole Garner, Charlotte Maxey, and domestic partner Ken Corn. She was preceded in death by mother Maxey Winn Humphreys, father Ben Humphreys, and sister Martha Logan. Marie was born in Nashville, TN on August 5, 1950. She spent her youth in Bartlett, TN and graduated Bartlett High School in 1968.Marie fell in love with Colorado while visiting her sister in 1969 and relocated to Colorado Springs in 1977, Marie also lived in San Diego, CA, Rio Rancho, NM, and ultimately Sun City, AZ.While in Colorado Marie completed her BS in Accounting and a MBA from University of Colorado. Her dedication to professional and personal betterment led her on a career path that began as an entry level secretary, then on to Human Resources and Training, culminating in leadership roles as both HR and Training Managers. She was an avid traveler, snow skier (Blazers Ski Club), hiker, singer (Sun City Women's Chorus) and bowler (Lakeview Happy Gals) and cherished the many friendships she made through these experiences. She enjoyed all of these experiences while remaining an engaged, fun, loving mother, sister and partner who will be dearly missed.Per her wishes, she will be cremated with no memorial service but fond memories are encouraged. Donations to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance (www. ocrfa.org) in Marie's name are also welcome.
