Marie C. Henderson

SUN CITY WEST - Marie C. Henderson, 89, died peacefully at Hospice of Arizona in Sun City West, on Sunday, June 12, 2011. She was born in Foxhome, Minn., on Feb. 4, 1922, daughter of the late William L. and Susan M.Gray. A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Henderson; daughters, Jean M. Henderson, and Susan M. Henderson; brother, Franklin Gray; and sisters, Rose Vacanti and Inez Neavin. Marie was married on Sept. 4, 1939, to John D. Henderson in Hudson, Wis. She was very devoted to her family, and above all was a loving and dedicated mother who valued her time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is missed greatly, treasured and is survived by her son, Richard A. Henderson of Sun City West; five grandchildren, Jeffrey A. Henderson of Rapid City, S.D., Joanne M.(Henderson) O'Neal of Macon, Ga., Julie A. (Henderson) Cappetta of Pittsburgh, Pa., John D. Henderson of Tempe, and Brooke (Semone) Sewell of Milliken, Colo.; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
