The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has not yet made a decision on who will fill the supervisor seat left by Steve Chucri for District 2, according to a Maricopa County spokesperson, but they aren’t short on candidates.
Fields Moseley, Maricopa County Communications Director, said board members are accepting resumes until Monday, Nov. 8, to fill the seat that became vacant after Chucri announced he would resign following a recording emerged of him criticizing his Republican colleagues for opposing an audit of the 2020 election, according to an Associated Press story.
Chucri first took office in January 2013. His resignation is effective Nov. 5.
