Maricopa County supervisors name new legislator for north Phoenix district
Shawnna Bolick has been chosen to serve in the Arizona Senate in District 2 following the resignation last month of Steve Kaiser.
Supervisors named Bolick who was nominated by the Republican Party District 2 precinct committee. Kaiser is a Republican. The board chose Bolick from among three Republican nominees as required by law.
Bolick previously served in the Arizona House of Representatives.

Shawnna Bolick has been chosen to serve in the Arizona Senate in District 2 following the resignation last month of Steve Kaiser.
Supervisors named Bolick who was nominated by the Republican Party District 2 precinct committee. Kaiser is a Republican. The board chose Bolick from among three Republican nominees as required by law.
Bolick previously served in the Arizona House of Representatives.
Legislative District 2 covers a section of North Phoenix from Deer Valley to Paradise Valley.
The seat has been vacant since last month.
Bolick will serve through 2024 when a new election for the seat will take place.
