Maricopa County Superior Court Clerk’s office warns of scam

The Maricopa County Superior Court Clerk’s office is alerting residents to a recent scam involving fraudulent demands for payment of traffic-related fines and fees.

Scammers are targeting individuals through text messages and emails, falsely claiming to represent the Superior Court in Maricopa County and pressuring recipients to pay for alleged toll violations, speeding tickets or parking fines before a supposed court hearing scheduled as early as the following day.

These fake messages often include a QR code and instruct recipients to scan it to resolve the issue. Recipients are warned that failure to act immediately may result in penalties such as driver’s license suspension or additional fines.
