Maricopa County shuffling ARPA money around

Maricopa County has allocated or spent most of its funding from the American Rescue Plan Act — financial backing from the federal government to help communities during the pandemic.

The governing body spent about $492 million on everything from homelessness to COVID-19 public health response, a Maricopa County dashboard states.

Officials allocated all but about $3.9 million of the $871 million total, according to the dashboard website.
