Maricopa County records 14 more heat-associated deaths, 2023 total now 39

There have been 39 heat-associated deaths recorded by the Maricopa County Department of Public Health for the 2023 season after 14 more were added in the last week.

Of the 39 deaths, 28 were caused by the heat and 11 are considered related to the heat.

Another 312 cases remain under investigation for the 2023 season, which covers May through October.
