It’s that time of year for the Maricopa County Master Gardeners to bring back a long tradition.
The group’s annual Fall Festival & Plant Sale, which started in 2001, returns from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 at Metro Tech High School, 1900 W. Thomas Road, in Phoenix.
The event started as the “Perennial Divide” as a way for Master Gardeners to swap or sell their cuttings, divisions, and plant starts with one another. In 2002, the Master Gardeners partnered with Metro Tech High School to offer what is now known as the Fall Festival and Plant Sale.
Explore the plant sale, craft vendors, a rummage sale of gently used household items, books, and garden items, seek garden advice, and support student clubs. Plants for sale are grown by the Maricopa County Master Gardeners, Metro Tech students, and invited growers.
This gardening event also features trained Master Gardeners providing expert advice to help your plants succeed. The fundraiser supports Metro Tech’s student programs and The University of Arizona Maricopa County Master Gardener program.
Admission is free. Parking is available on the Thomas Road lot.
