Maricopa County homeowners may see reduction in property taxes

Maricopa County homeowners will get a bit of a break on future property taxes.

On Monday, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors voted to cut the property tax rate as part of its 2023 fiscal year budget.

The budget decision lowers Maricopa County’s property tax rate to $1.25 — lower than the previous rate of $1.35. For instance, $125 in taxes would be due for every $100,000 in assessed value of a home under the new standard.
