Maricopa County declares no-burn days for weekend

The Maricopa County Air Quality Department on Saturday declared no-burn days for this weekend, Dec. 13-14.

The declaration was necessary due to high levels of smoke, county officials said.

Residents must not burn wood in fireplaces, stoves, chimeneas and outdoor pits. Off-road vehicles are also prohibited.
