The Maricopa County Community College District is celebrating LGBTQ Pride Month in June, recognizing those who identify in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual (LGBTQIA+) community.
“As we celebrate Pride Month, I am reflecting on the amazing LGBTQIA+ students, faculty and staff whose thoughtful perspectives help shape the Maricopa Community Colleges,” MCCCD Interim Chancellor, Dr. Steven R. Gonzales said.
“I work alongside so many outstanding members of the LGBTQIA+ community who make the Maricopa Community Colleges more dynamic by sharing their identities. I am proud to continue to advocate for inclusion and acceptance, and guide our System in the fight against intolerance and bias.”

The Maricopa County Community College District is celebrating LGBTQ Pride Month in June, recognizing those who identify in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual (LGBTQIA+) community.
“As we celebrate Pride Month, I am reflecting on the amazing LGBTQIA+ students, faculty and staff whose thoughtful perspectives help shape the Maricopa Community Colleges,” MCCCD Interim Chancellor, Dr. Steven R. Gonzales said.

The Maricopa Community Colleges kicked off Pride Month with an event June 1 hosted by Paradise Valley Community College.
Next, the district invites community members to a collaborative forum hosted by Rio Salado College and the American Public University system from noon until 12:30 p.m. June 29.
