Maricopa County supervisors approve nonprofit grants from Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors approved a number of grants during its April 22 meeting.

The grants, totaling $927,256, come through funds obtained by the Arizona Department of Gaming Compact through the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.

Through the compact with the tribe, it performs a  review of applications and ensures 12% of its contributions under the compact go to services that benefit the general public.
