Maricopa County Attorney’s Office detective arrested on murder charges

A Maricopa County Attorney’s Office employee was arrested on murder charges after the man’s wife was reported as a possible missing person, according to a police report.

The employee and suspect, John C. Byrd III, is a detective with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.

“The reporting party stated her friend had not been seen or heard from her most of the day on July 31,” the police report said.
