Maricopa County $4.35B tentative budget approved

Maricopa County officials prioritized lowering property taxes, adding positions and funding facilities and technology projects as the governing board approved its tentative budget this week.

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors approved the measure — a $4.35 billion budget — where about 40% is non-recurring expenditures, according to officials.

The final budget for fiscal year 2024 is expected to be approved by the full board on Monday, June 26.
