Maricopa Ambulances to continue emergency transport services for Scottsdale

The City of Scottsdale agreed to a three-year extension with Maricopa Ambulances on Monday, Dec 7.

The mutual agreement between the City of Scottsdale and Maricopa Ambulances will extend a previous agreement that was set to expire in February. The initial contract came from a request for proposal that was originally initiated in July 2017, according to a city staff report.

The Scottsdale Fire Department has the universal responsibility of emergency medical services. This makes the agreement between the two parties essential to continue to provide emergency transportation needed to transport citizens to the hospital, according to a city staff report.
