Marian Grace Pickarts

In 1987 Marian married Anthony (Tony) Pickarts. Her family grew to include step-daughter Mary Morey and stepson Steve Pickarts. Anthony died in November, 2004. In January, 2016 Marian and Arden (Chuck) Thielen were married in the eyes of the Lord. Marian's family continued to grow with another stepson, Timothy, and adopted daughter "Connie". Marian is survived by Arden (Chuck) Thielen, life partner, daughter Teresa Polk (Jim Becker) and son Dr. Daniel (Joan) Jablonski, sisters Regina Wawrzaszek and Arlene (Raymond) Suchomski and brother Gerald (MaryAnne) Ostroski, sisters-in-law Shirley and Joan Ostroski, stepdaughter Mary (Chris) Morey and stepsons Steve (Bridget) Pickarts, Timothy Thielen and "adopted daughter" Connie LaBuhn. She has 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Marian was preceded in death by beloved parents Basil and Rose, husbands Stanley and Anthony, daughter MariAnn, brothers James, Patrick (Hank), and George Ostroski , brother-in-law Pete Wawrzaszek and son-in-law Dion Polk.Marian enjoyed computer club, walking in the pool at Mountain View, working out at the recreation center, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Marian had been a member and secretary of the Sodality at St. Joachim and St. Anne's in Sun City, AZ. She had been a life member of the VFW and marched in the color guard in Monona, WI.Marian was a member of St. Joachim and St. Ann Church in Sun City, AZ for 30years. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 2, at St. Joachim and St. Annes. Another Celebration of Life Service will be held in August at St. Therese Church in Schofield, WI. Donations may be given in Marian's name to: Hospice of the Valley or St. Joachim and St. Anne's. Masses are always appreciated.The family of Marian Pickarts would like to thank all of the workers at Hospice of the Valley who participated in Marian's care. Thank you also to all of her doctors, and her doctor, physician assistants and all of the workers at Arizona Oncology who took care of Marian.
