Margaret Josephine (Lorenz) Tiffany, 73, of Sun City, AZ, passed away on January 18th, 2018. Margaret, daughter of Carl and Eleanor Lorenz was born on August 4th, 1944 in Bandon, OR. She is survived by her husband Paul, whom she married in 1965; children: Geoffrey, Christopher and Kathryn; brother, John and sister Gail; daughters-in-law, Natasha and Paulina; grandchildren: Emma, Matthew, Jeremy and Justin; large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws; and a host of close friends.After graduating from the University Of Oregon School Of Nursing in 1965 Margaret worked as a Registered Nurse. While taking a break from working as a nurse to raise her three children in Portland, OR, Margaret partnered with a friend to start the small business Basic Blocks, Inc. out of the family home and garage. Going on to earn a Masters of Social Work degree and becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker she gained employment at Providence hospital in Northeast Portland working with patients and family members. Margaret ended her career in 2012 as a founding partner of Tiffany, O'Shea & Associates providing professional Guardianship and Conservatorship services and case management.Margaret had a great love of the outdoors. She organized and participated in a number of annual long-distance relay walks including Cascade Lakes Relay, which she completed as recently as August 2017. An avid hiker, Margaret successfully hiked the Grand Canyon at the age of 70 with her husband Paul and enjoyed the trails of Cave Creek, AZ. Active in the Sun City community, Margaret was a member of the Sun City Stars Swim Team and competed in local and statewide swimming meets. She organized and participated in Relay for Life, a swimming event to raise money to fight cancer. Margaret was especially devoted to political activism in recent years travelling to Washington, D.C. in 2017 to participate in the Women's March on Washington, and she gave generously to local, Arizona, non-profit organizations that serve families and children with disabilities.A celebration of Margaret's life Thanksgiving and Remembrance will be held on February 24th, 2018 from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the Fairway Recreation Center, 10600 W.
