Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport saw the impacts of a big spring with its busiest month ever.
In March, Sky Harbor reported an 8.2% increase in travel compared with last March, according to Sky Harbor statistics. And officials are hoping that trend of lots of travel continues through the summer.
“We have seen much more leisure travel following the pandemic,” said Erick Moreno, a Sky Harbor spokesman. “With people placing leisure travel as a priority, we do anticipate seeing a busy summer travel season.”
