Marathon restricts traffic Sunday in south Scottsdale
The Scottsdale Police Department advises drivers in the southern part of the city to plan for road restrictions Sunday to accommodate the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon.
Police said restrictions will be in place from 6:30 a.m. until about 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15.
Runners making their way through Scottsdale from the Tempe start of the race will travel along Hayden, McDowell, Scottsdale and Thomas roads as well as 64th Street.

The Scottsdale Police Department advises drivers in the southern part of the city to plan for road restrictions Sunday to accommodate the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon.
Police said restrictions will be in place from 6:30 a.m. until about 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15.
Runners making their way through Scottsdale from the Tempe start of the race will travel along Hayden, McDowell, Scottsdale and Thomas roads as well as 64th Street.
Besides local roads that will be affected over the two days, freeway restrictions will be in place from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday for the main event, organizers said.
Eastbound Loop 202 off-ramps will be restricted at Scottsdale Road. All non-event traffic will be detoured onto northbound Scottsdale Road.
The eastbound Loop 202 off-ramp at McClintock Drive will be closed.
