UPDATE: Man shot and stabbed to death in Peoria

After pursuit, suspect dies of self-inflicted wound. Police have identified suspect as nephew of the victim

Peoria Police are investigating a homicide that left the victim shot and stabbed to death and the suspect dead to a self-inflicted wound.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 123rd Avenue and Hummingbird Terrace at about 5:30 a.m. June 1.

Upon arrival, officers located 31-year-old Jackson Berry suffering from multiple gunshot and stab wounds in front of his home. Neighbors and witnesses were providing aid when officers arrived and took over medical care.
